Labour Council meetings and activities are opportunities to share information on issues affecting local unions, their membership and the community. By identifying issues, awareness is built and support can be generated through collective action.
The Labour Council is a full partner with the United Way with five members appointed to the United Way Board of Directors. Through our partnership agreement with the United Way local unions can access the services of the Labour Community Representative.
Regular meetings of the SDLC are at 7:00 pm on the 4th Thursday of the month except July, August and December, in the OPSEU Union Hall 866 Newgate Avenue, Sudbury.

We all need to support these workers to help prevent the further erosion of workers’ rights!
It is time for the Labour Movement to band together and stop greedy Corporations, before there is only two classes of people in Canada, the poor and wealthy. The Government needs to wake up and realize that it is the laborers that make the economy work.
